A greeting in the dressing room before the show

Charly García visited Ronnie Wood in the dressing rooms of Movistar Arena, in Villa Crespo, shortly before the concert the Rolling Stones guitarist gave on Friday, November 6. The Argentine musician did not arrive empty-handed: he gave Wood a vinyl of Clics Modernos, the album he released in 1983. According to Clarín, the gift included several vinyl records from his career.

The photo of the meeting spread across social media within minutes. According to La Nación, the image was released by the production company DF Entertainment and shows Wood with his arm around García while holding the record. Página/12 adds that there was a greeting, a short exchange of words and a photo before Wood went on stage.

Fans reacted right away on Instagram. Among the comments La Nación collected, one called it "La foto del año" (the photo of the year). Another user wrote that they had not known they needed to see Wood holding that record until they saw it.

Six decades of career on stage

After the greeting, Wood came on stage with his group, the Ammo Band, to present Fearless: Anthology 1965-2025. According to Clarín, the guitarist, who is 79, played a concert of a little over two hours with a full house. There were songs from his solo years, from Faces and from the Stones, and covers of blues, soul and rock classics.

The night opened with It's Only Rock and Roll. Songs on the list included Stay With Me, by Faces, Can't You Hear Me Knocking and Hey Negrita. There was also room for Seven Days, a Bob Dylan song, and for Country Honk.

The ending had a local touch: Wood appeared in the sky-blue and white national team shirt, number 10, printed with his surname. Clarín reports that the audience sang a chant adapted from the one heard in 1992 at Keith Richards' solo concert, with a promise for next year: that the Stones play.

Other outings for Wood in Buenos Aires

Before the concert, the guitarist was Mario Pergolini's guest on Otro día perdido, on eltrece. According to La Nación, the host said afterwards, on his Vorterix program, that Wood was kind to the whole team and that the two had ten minutes of private conversation before taping. Each of them spoke through their own translation, a decision Pergolini explained as a way for the guest to answer more calmly.

Wood also watched the Rojo Tango show at the Faena Hotel, in Puerto Madero, a place that according to Clarín he already knew from his 2016 visit to the city. Página/12 picked up the hotel's account: the guitarist followed every scene closely and danced with a member of the cast who came over to his table.

What comes next on the South American tour

Wood's tour continues across South America. According to Clarín, on Sunday, November 8 he plays the Teatro Metropolitano in Rosario and then travels to Santiago de Chile.

Página/12 recalls that Keith Richards was the first Stone to perform as a soloist in the country, in 1992, and that the band first came to Argentina in 1995. Now it was Wood's turn, and this time he also got a visit from a figure of Argentine rock.

To understand the context

Ronnie Wood has been a member of the Rolling Stones since 1975, according to Página/12. Fearless: Anthology 1965-2025 is the show with which he looks back on his career on his own: his solo years, his time in Faces and his work with the Stones. Clics Modernos, the album Charly García brought him, came out in 1983 and includes songs such as Los dinosaurios and No me dejan salir, according to Clarín.

Friday's concert, on November 6, was at Movistar Arena, in Villa Crespo. The next date on the tour is in Rosario on Sunday the 8th, before he crosses into Chile.
