What changed on Chacabuco
The Córdoba municipal government reported on October 19, 2026, that asphalt rehabilitation was completed on the private-vehicle lane of bulevar Chacabuco and that the works moved to the west side of the roadway.
The reported stretch runs from the Plaza España tunnel exit to bulevar San Juan, including cross streets, according to the municipal notice.
Closure hours and how to plan
The new stage began on the afternoon of Monday, October 19. The municipality said a partial closure started at 8:00 p.m., followed by a full overnight closure until 6:00 a.m. the next day.
That night schedule is expected to continue for approximately five days, weather permitting. Because the official notice did not list alternative detours or bus-route changes, it is best to check the corridor’s status before leaving and allow extra time to cross the area.
What the municipality did recommend
The official recommendation is to drive carefully, follow signage and plan trips in advance while this stage of the works continues.
The practical point is not to assume a fixed reopening date: the municipality itself made the schedule conditional on the weather and did not report a specific detour plan in that notice.
