What opens in Rosario this Thursday

The 2026 Rosario International Book Fair opens on Thursday, October 8, at Cultural Fontanarrosa, San Martín 1080, and will run until Sunday, October 18, according to the City of Rosario’s cultural agenda and the event’s official website.

Admission is free, but the fair’s official information adds a practical condition: visitors must obtain a free access QR code. The QR code is personal and non-transferable and can be used for all days and spaces of the fair.

Venue, access and planned programming

Fontanarrosa is the venue for the 2026 edition. The city’s official call describes a fair with a children’s area, school visits, and the presence of publishers, bookstores and authors from across Argentina.

The official website says the event is co-organized by Fundación El Libro, the City of Rosario and the Government of Santa Fe Province, with support from the National University of Rosario. Entry to individual presentations is subject to each room’s capacity and to arrival order.

An eleven-day cultural date

The opening gives Rosario a concrete cultural reference point in October. Unlike a one-day activity, the fair runs for more than a week and lets visitors choose a date within the announced period.

The official description mentions talks, presentations, tributes, workshops and stands from local bookstores and publishers and others from across the country. To plan a visit, the key step is to check the official programme and obtain the free QR code before going.
