Messi visits Atlanta with Inter Miami already qualified for the playoffs

Match, venue and time

Inter Miami visit Atlanta United this Saturday, October 17, 2026, in the MLS regular season at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. This preview was prepared before the officially listed kickoff time.

The MLS preview listed kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time, which is 8:30 p.m. in Argentina, and named Apple TV as the match platform. Inter Miami’s official preview and the Mercedes-Benz Stadium event page match the date, venue and time.

The sporting context

Inter Miami enter the match with their place secured in the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs, according to MLS. That makes the trip to Atlanta one step in the final stretch of the regular season before the postseason.

The league preview placed Atlanta United 14th in the Eastern Conference, on 30 points, while Inter Miami were second in the same conference on 52. For the Florida team, the competitive interest lies in maintaining rhythm and structure ahead of the decisive part of the calendar.

A match watched from Argentina

For Argentine viewers, the main draw is again Lionel Messi and Inter Miami’s path toward the playoffs. The club’s official preview framed the trip to Atlanta as part of a push for a third straight win.

The Mercedes-Benz Stadium page identifies the event as Atlanta United vs. Inter Miami CF, with the date October 17, 2026 and the time 7:30 p.m. That is the confirmed setting for following a night with an Argentine focus away from the domestic game.
