A national concert with Cuyo repertoire
The National Orchestra of Argentine Music “Juan de Dios Filiberto” and Las Cangemi will perform a free tango and folk concert on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at the National Auditorium of the Palacio Libertad, Sarmiento 151, in Buenos Aires City.
The program brings together a national orchestra devoted to Argentine music and the voices of Verónica and Patricia Cangemi. Guest conductor Ezequiel Silberstein will lead the performance, with Camilo Cangemi also taking part on guitar.
Tango, tonada, popular repertoire and arias
The program combines tango, Cuyo folk music, pieces from Argentina’s popular repertoire and several classical arias. Listed works include “Obertura Filiberto,” “Homenaje a Julián Plaza,” “Virgen de la Carrodilla,” “Regreso a la tonada,” “Fuego en Anymaná,” “Nada,” “Sur,” “Tonada grande,” “Zamba azul” and “Libertango.”
The evening’s interest lies in that crossover: orchestral tango, Cuyo song and other vocal forms will share the same hall on a national stage. For listeners who cannot attend in person, the concert will also be streamed live through the Palacio Libertad’s online radio.
