Opening match against Chile in Santa Fe
Argentina’s futsal national teams will begin their CONMEBOL South Zone Evolution Futsal League campaign on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the Estadio Multipropósito “Invencible Santa Fe” in the city of Santa Fe. The tournament runs through Sunday, October 18.
According to the fixture published by AFA, Argentina start against Chile: the U20 team play at 6:15 p.m. and the senior team at 8:30 p.m. The South Zone group includes Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.
Two teams, one standings table
The tournament’s format gives each country two sides in the competition: a senior national team and an U20 national team. AFA said the results from both categories are combined into a single standings table, giving every matchday double sporting weight for each delegation.
After the opening match against Chile, Argentina face Bolivia on Thursday, October 15: U20 at 6:15 p.m. and senior team at 8:30 p.m. According to the latest AFA schedule checked, they then play Uruguay on Saturday, October 17, with the U20 team at 5:45 p.m. and the senior team at 8 p.m., before closing against Paraguay on Sunday, October 18, also with the U20 team at 5:45 p.m. and the senior team at 8 p.m.
Why it matters now
The event starts on October 14 and brings an Argentine national-team competition outside the Buenos Aires axis. For Santa Fe, it means hosting five days of international futsal with youth and senior sides at the same venue.
The sporting interest also lies in the scoring system: following only the senior team is not enough, because the U20 side’s campaign affects the same table. That structure makes both Argentine match slots relevant on every date.
