The 2026 ITTF-Americas Championships Lima are taking place in the Peruvian capital from October 18 to 25, according to the International Table Tennis Federation’s official results page.

ITTF reported on October 20 that the championship’s team events carry a direct consequence for the regional cycle: the finalists earn places at the Lima 2027 Pan American Games.

The Argentine angle

For Argentine table tennis, the tournament falls in an important window of the continental calendar: it is not only about gaining international matches, but about competing in an event that shapes part of the road to Lima 2027.

ITTF’s official coverage names Argentines Santiago Lorenzo and Horacio Cifuentes, two players with Olympic experience, during a week that is also part of the pathway toward the 2027 World Table Tennis Championships Finals in Astana for individual events.
